COLD WEATHER:
As the days and nights are getting colder, remember to look after your pets as well. Make sure that they are kept warm and that their water bottle doesn't freeze but ensure they have a fresh air supply as well.

Hay to be used with guinea pigsShould I change my bedding?

My cavies are currently bedded on paper, then shavings then hay, and do fine on it, but it is expencive. I was wondering what people's opinions were and whether I should change.

How have others found fleece, especially in regards to outdoor pigs, would they get too cold? How often do poops have to be shaken off, how often does washing need to take place and what are drying times and durability like? Or what do you think of using a product similar to Vet Bedding (a dog product)?
